Gero Corman is responsible for 3D-Printing/Additive Manufacturing in the Group Digitalization of the 12 automotive brands of Volkswagen AG.
He has a Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from RWTH Aachen University. Gero Corman spent time at UC Berkeley and was a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT he conducted research in the field of energy and resource efficiency of Additive Manufacturing technologies.
After graduating, he joined the Boston Consulting Group where he was a core member of BCG’s Operations Center with a focus on Lean & Manufacturing. Later, he became BCG topic expert for 3D-Printing/AM.
Since the beginning of 2017, Gero Corman is part of the Digitalization team at the Volkswagen Group. Working now on a strategic level, he still enjoys designing and printing ideas with his 3D-printer at home.
